An Island Without You follows two boys as they grapple with the aftermath of a classmate’s disappearance in Wahiawā, Hawai'i. Keoni is honestly a little thrilled Spencer is finally off his back and not bullying him anymore—but even so, he can’t seem to escape Spencer’s memory. Meanwhile Aaron, who just moved to town with his father and is struggling with his selective mutism at his new school, begins to have visions of Spencer, as though he’s trying to tell him something. And as Keoni and Aaron draw closer to the truth about what happened, their friendship grows.
